VOX StompLab 1G Multi-Effects Modeling Pedal Demo
Our Verdict
Our main impression of these pedals is that they are a more practical version of a desktop guitar processor – one that you can use as a genuine floor pedal while still being able to use at home. Because Vox is a Korg company, we can see similarities between this and its Pandora range of processors, which have a similar architecture in terms of the multi-effects chain and range of effects available. So, yes, the StompLab series is outstanding for simply plugging in and having access to the largest range of sounds for practice via headphones – and it’s portable.
The IG is certainly rugged enough for stage use as a pedal plugged between guitar and amp, and it’s probably minimal enough not to cause too much clutter on your pedalboard if you intend to use it along with other pedals.
