Product Description

Your quest for the perfect guitar tone begins with the new DigiTech Element XP guitar multi-effect pedal. The Element XP provides guitarists with everything they need to experiment with guitar tones and find their own sound. The DigiTech Element XP offers 37 different pedals, 12 amps, and 9 speaker cabinets to select from, as well as a guitar tuner and a dedicated headphone jack so you can play all night without waking the neighbors. Every Element XP comes with a power supply, so you won’t have to waste money on batteries. You can create and store up to 100 more custom settings as you go, with 100 factories presets to build from. With the stroke of a button, you can play one of the 45 distinct drum tracks to jam to.

The Element XP is a small yet mighty multi-effect processor. You can quickly alter the parameters to meet your taste by using a basic pedalboard like layout and editor. With 58 different effects to pick from, the hours will fly by as you explore and discover the astounding power and tone of the Element XP. The Tone Banks and FX Bank each contain 20 possible tone and effects combinations, allowing you to quickly and simply get any sound you desire. It’s like having access to a music store.

The Element XP has a 1/4″ guitar input as well as a stereo 1/4″ output connector that can be connected to either an amplifier or mixer for direct recording with a press of the Amp/Mixer button, which activates the internal speaker cabinets for direct recording. The Element XP offers a separate headphone jack for training and an Aux In for jamming along with your favorite music.

Our Verdict

Unlike the best multi-effects, the Element XP genuinely makes you want to play rather than leave you continually tinkering with sounds.

Multi-effects have a poor rap. Sure, back in the day, you were stuck with patchy replicas of classic amps and brittle effects you’d never use. Nowadays, it’s a completely different story, with a plethora of spectacular do-it-all boxes dotting floors all over the world. DigiTech has now entered the battle with the Element XP.

The Element XP is a bit of a mixed bag: the great-sounding presets and back-to-basics editing hint at a forward-thinking entry-level machine, but the tiny screen harkens back to the annoying multi-effects of the 1990s.

Even if you don’t master the editing process, it’s a fantastic practice tool – and we haven’t even mentioned the built-in tuner or drum patterns!
