If your computer has Internet access, BOSS TONE STUDIO provides an integrated connection to the BOSS TONE CENTRAL website, where you can preview and download free gig-ready patches created by top guitar pros directly into the GT-100.

Our Verdict

The GT-100 improves on the capabilities and practicalities of the GT series while being much easier to set up and use than its predecessors. It’s a terrific tonal resource for recording, with a wide selection of amp and effect sounds, and it’s also a very useful onstage unit.

You might not want to utilize the amp simulators live, but there are a plethora of effects available, especially in manual mode, which instantly converts the device from a patch-based multi-effects unit to a pedalboard full of individual stompboxes.

The BOSS GT-100 may be all you need between your guitar and amp, with eight stomps (or seven plus a tuner) and a wah/volume pedal.
